Village School Is Fired Up for Field Day Fun!

Warm weather, June bugs, and open green fields all lead to one thing - Field Day! This year, our students were divided into three separate teams with their own staff captains. In preparation for the event, the importance of good sportsmanship, cooperation, and team spirit was emphasized to the students to ensure they knew the "why" behind our fan favorite Field Day.  At the end of the day, each team won a superlative that showed the spirit of what it means to be a part of the Village family. 

Village School also got to honor an important member of the Village community - Mrs. O'Connell who has been the enrichment specialist for many years. She is now hanging up her teaching cap and putting on a beach hat in preparation for retirement. She was honored by two previous students who came back to let her know that true to what she had once told them, "you'll never meet a teacher like me." We are sad to see her go, but excited for the adventures she will be having beyond Village School!
