Village School Celebrates Neurodiversity in Color

Village School Celebrates Neurodiversity in Color

At Village, our belief is "the school is at the heart of every village." With that, Village School has taken on the important task of teaching students about the acknowledgement and acceptance of neurodivergence. This month, we are particularly proud to announce that we have been spending time discussing and teaching students about neurodiversity. From the morning announcements about different learning abilities to classroom activities getting students to reflect upon their own strengths and talents, students have been learning not only how their brain works, but others' as well. This all led to our culminating event with stations that not only entertained students but challenged them as well. With a range of activities such as sensory paths/stations, outdoor games, sand art, parachute play, and silent disco, Village students got to experience a range of tasks and challenges that resulted in a lot of laughs and a lot of fun!
